Day in the Life: a glimpse inside a full day shooting (and why you should try it)

If you value memories, if you think they somehow define us and are part of our family history, this might be the perfect shooting for you.

Day in the Life’ shootings are a time capsule: they will make you travel back to a specific time of your life - to give you an idea of what you will achieve, think about a specific day - let’s say 23rd July of the year you were 6 years old: wouldn’t you love to see what you did that day, from waking up to bedtime? This is exactly what your children will be able to experience when they’ll be grown up: a visual fragment of their life, in a safe place between time and space.

1) Your daily life is special today, it will be precious in the years to come: a full day in the life will allow you to experience (and preserve) those sweet family moments that happens when waking up and before going to bed: a morning hug, a goodnight kiss, the fun of preparing breakfast together - there’s no need to organize something special for our shooting: I will show you how your life is unique the way it is.

2) Experience an external (and cinematic) perspective of your life: during a ‘Day in the Life’ photoshoot, I will photograph your life the way it is, seen from my perspective, in a cinematic way - your story will be made of you - the main characters - the place you live, the objects you love and the places you usually visit at this stage of your life: even if we don’t notice it, time flies and things change: in a few years the smallest object might fuel a strong sense of longing and nostalgia (have you ever looked at photos of your childhood and spotted a place or an object in the background that immediately transport you back to other memories? Or: think about those tiny clothes your children used to wear - that happened just a few years ago).

3) how do you make someone feel like the way they felt on that particular day? sometimes a wind blow is enough. Sometimes a nearly blown background on a summer portrait will remind you how strong the sun was on that hot day. Nothing is casual. There’s a purpose in every photo.

4) Emotions play a big part in Day in the Life sessions: not only the ones felt on that day, but most of all, the ones you will feel when leafing through your photo album

6) Day in the Life shooting is for people who are deeply in love with their family, and have the feeling that the time is slipping away from their hands: they love seeing their children growing, yet they would love to stop the time and grab all that happiness and love in their hands: for this reason, they can’t stop collecting memories like shells on the beach.

Sara is incredibly gifted and experienced photographer with a unique artistic perspective and a warm, easy going personality. She was such a joy to have around our family and easy to talk to. She made us feel comfortable. The finished product blew me away! Her photos are each a beautiful piece of art that she has thoughtfully crafted. Hire her for a Day in the Life! it will be beyond worth it.
