Your wedding photographer in Rome: editorial style portraits

10 reasons why adding editorial portraits to your wedding reportage session is always a good idea

While I shoot 90% of weddings in reportage style, I love sneaking away with the newly wed couple from all the guests to take some editorial style portraits.

Depending where the venue is, I usually choose a location nearby - if you are getting married in Rome you have an enchanting variety of beautiful backgrounds to choose from - I usually plan one or two special spots, a short walk nearby, to portray their first moments as a married couple together.

But why adding editorial style portraits to your wedding photos?

1) High End Look: editorial portraits emulates the polished look of fashion magazines: these photos will add a touch of elegance and sophisticated feeling to your wedding album and when beautifully displayed on the walls of your house.

2) Strong Aestethic: nice location (in Rome we have plenty to choose from and I will be more than happy to find something special for you), clean composition, perfect use of light, use of negative space are some of the elements that will be taken into consideration when taking your photos to create your best memories.

3) Ideal for shy people or people who think they don’t know how to pose: many people think that they might feel uncomfortable or won’t be able to pose, or just don’t know what to do when in front of a camera: don’t worry, I will be there to explain what to do, suggesting poses and giving you specific direction: that’s part of my job - believe me, it will be easier than you think (and fun!).

4) Storytelling: editorial style portraits as part of a bigger reportage session will be your icing on the cake: no reportage, no story can be told or considered complete without portraying the main characters.

5) Wedding photography becomes a beautiful experience of your day: not only a way to preserve memories, but creating together something special that will make you feel models on a fashion photography set.

6) Editorial Vibes: we will go beyond traditional wedding photos to recreate that fashion photography feeling you’ve always admired.

7) Unconventional poses: you have carefully chosen a beautiful destination, an amazing wedding dress, the perfect jewellery: you want to remember all of it, the best way: it’s time to experiment with unconventional poses and angles to make the most of your day and create unforgettable memories.

8) Portraying the sweetest and unexpected moments of connection: when editing your photos, I always choose (and love the most) those unexpected moments that happens while relaxing from posing: a stolen glance, a kiss, a laugh, a gentle touch - the tiniest gesture that will elevate your photos to a beautiful piece of art.

9) Cinematic Feeling: the final result will blew you away: your unique story, a perfect blend of reportage and editorial portraits, a visually immersive experience evoking emotions in the years to come.

10) Timeless, elegant, contemporary photography: if that’s what you are looking for and expecting from your wedding photographer, DM me, let’s talk about it and make sure to secure your date!
